Privacy Policy

Airport WX is provided by JinYu Xu. This policy explains how the current iOS app uses information and how you can manage it. You do not need an account to use the app.
1. Information the app uses

The current app has no account, advertising, or developer-integrated analytics or tracking service. We do not actively collect your name, email address, or contacts through the app's features. When the app accesses an online service, that provider may receive information accompanying the network request, such as your IP address and request time. The provider's own privacy policy governs its handling of that information.
2. Third-party services
Weather requests use NOAA Aviation Weather Center. If you enable the preferred data source for airports in China, the app may also use AMSC. Airport database updates use data from OurAirports. Nearby maps use Apple Maps. Each service handles the requests and information needed to provide its service. We do not sell personal information to advertising networks.
If one weather source has no available report, the app may try another source. Historical reports are requested only when you open History. A new airport database is downloaded only when you choose to update it.
3. Retention and deletion
Favorites, settings, and any downloaded airport database are stored on your device. You can change settings, remove favorites, or uninstall the app to remove its local data. Weather reports are used for display and temporary caching. The app does not offer a developer account or account-based syncing.
You can revoke Airport WX's location permission in iPhone Settings; this will affect the nearby-airport map. You can remove favorites at any time or uninstall the app to remove its local data. If you believe we hold information about you, or wish to request access, deletion, or another privacy right, contact us using the email below.
Third-party providers may have their own retention periods and deletion procedures for network information they receive. Please consult their policies and contact the relevant provider directly.
4. Children and policy changes
The app is not designed to collect personal information from children. If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Where applicable law requires separate consent, we will seek it before the relevant processing.
